Humphrey Yang

Hi, this is Ziyue (Humphrey) Yang. I am a PhD student in Finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Before Wharton, I was a PhD student in economics at the Australian National University, supervised by Professor John Stachurski, and a research assistant at QuantEcon. Previously, I worked as a research assistant at the ANU Research School of Finance, Actuarial Studies and Statistics (RSFAS) and as a summer intern at Data61, CSIRO, researching statistical learning and the security of generative adversarial models.

I graduated with bachelor's degrees in Data Analytics and in Politics, Philosophy and Economics in 2023.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking (especially when there are kangaroos around) and catching up with the latest tech news. I spend most of my time tweaking programs and learning maths and economic theory with help from John, Tom, and friends.
